The Business Owner’s Guide to Commercial Roof Maintenance

Three words: Commercial roof maintenance. Let’s face it. As a business owner you’re busy, and maintaining your business’s roof doesn’t always end up at the top of your to-do list. However, a properly maintained roof is vital for your business.

Here are commercial roof maintenance tips to help keep your roofing system in the best shape possible, so you can stay focused on running your business.

  • Get your roofing system inspected regularly.

Make it a priority to schedule roof inspections. Just like we go to the doctor for checkups, we need to schedule regular checkups and inspections for our roofing systems. At Funderburk Roofing, Inc., our inspections include: scaling and measurements, determinations, and reporting and estimates. Our team of roofing professionals will come out, inspect your roof, and provide you with all the info you need to plan and budget for an upcoming roofing project. Preventative inspections can help you avoid extensive (and expensive!) roofing projects in the future.

  • Don’t avoid fixing leaks or other repairs.

Brushing leaks or other problems with your commercial roof under the rug, will only turn into larger issues later. If you think something is wrong with your roofing system, don’t hesitate to contact Funderburk Roofing, Inc. immediately. Emergency roof repairs are our specialty, and we’re available to help 24/7/365.

  • Work on keeping your roof squeaky clean.

It’s inevitable that dirt and other debris will eventually gather on your roof. However, if you avoid cleaning the roofing system regularly, the roofing materials are likely to deteriorate faster, especially if you live in a place that experiences inclement weather. The winter can be extremely harsh on your roof, so cleaning it off during colder months is incredibly important. You don’t want ice, snow, or any other materials to build up, so make sure you hire a roofer with proper training to assist with the cleaning.

  • Work with trained professionals on all roofing projects.

Roofing projects can’t be done by just anyone, so you want to make sure you work with a team of certified trained professionals. Funderburk Roofing, Inc. is proud to have a team of highly qualified and well-trained professionals that have vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of commercial and industrial roofing on board.

If you need assistance with any of the items mentioned above, we can help! Funderburk Roofing, Inc. is here and ready to help you with all your commercial roofing needs. Regardless of the problem, we’ll find you a solution. I really love your point about getting a few bids from referrals before choosing the company to do my roof repair. Since I don’t know much about it, it’s good to know that not just the first referral will be a good choice. That’s also a good point to check the bid and be sure they compare and to not just pick the lowest bid.
